Richard Otto Burde

Richard Burde 1912-1998

Richard Otto Burde was born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 23, 1912 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. He came to Salt Lake City in 1953 and won first place awards for his work exhibited at the State Capitol and State Fair. The LDS Church Museum holds many of his religious paintings. He died June 4, 1998.
