Eurilda Loomis France, 1865-1931
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1865, Eurilda Loomis studied in Paris at the Academy Julian with Duran and also studied with Jules Joseph Lefebvre and Jean Joseph Benjamin-Constant. She married fellow painter and artist Jesse Leach France in 1889. She exhibited at the Paris Salon in the 1880s and 1890s, she exhibited at the World's Columbian Expo in Chicago in 1893 she exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the National Academy of Design. She died in New Haven, Connecticut in 1931.
